Dear Fellow/Member,
Notice of the 2022 Annual General Meeting
On behalf of the Committee of the Institute, I cordially invite you to participate in our 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, 25th May 2022. In view of the state of the CoronaVirus pandemic, the Executive Committee decided that it would be prudent to hold the AGM on-line through a Virtual Meeting System.
To join the meeting, you will need to
- Register by filling in the reply slip attached in this notice, with email address. The link to the virtual meeting room will be sent to you via the email address in due course;
- Prepare the smart device (e.g. smart phone) with the installation of Zoom application (free of charge);
- Agree all the security regulations given;
- Enter the virtual meeting room via the link given at the time of meeting;
- Mute the microphone when you are not speaking.
Agenda for the 2022 AGM:
- 1. To confirm the proceedings of the last AGM on 21st April 2021 [the draft proceedings could be viewed at (http://hkioa.org/post_detail.php?Id=301)]
- 2. To receive the Annual Report of the Chairman
- 3. To receive the Financial Report of the Honorary Treasurer
- 4. To appoint an Auditor of the Institute for 2022/23
- 5. To elect Chairman and Committee Members of the Institute
- 6. Any Other Business
The Chairman, Mr William Fung, had decided to step down after serving his 2 full-year term of Chairmanship. We thank him for his efforts in the work of the Institute and wish him the very best in the time to come. If you would like to nominate candidates to stand for election for the posts of Chairman or Committee Members, please complete the attached nomination form and send it back to us on or before Wednesday, 11th May 2022.
