Webinar on self-certification system under ProPECC PN 4/23 and Revamped Web-based Noise Assessment Tool (Web-NAT) for road traffic noise assessment

Dear Members,

You are cordially invited to the webinar for self-certification system under ProPECC PN 4/23 and the introduction of our revamped Web-based Noise Assessment Tool (Web-NAT) for road traffic noise assessment organized by the Environmental Protection Department.

To conform to the Government's policy of streamlining and modernizing our planning and development frameworks, ProPECC Practice Note 4/23, "Practice Note for the Planning of Residential Developments Against Road Traffic Noise," delineates a set of streamlined self-assessment procedures for project proponents, practitioners, and environmental/acoustic professionals, thereby facilitating the planning of new residential developments in relation to road traffic noise.

The Web-NAT is a tool for consultants to create traffic noise models and prepare Road Traffic Noise Impact Assessment (RTNIA) report for residential development launched in May 2022. It serves as an essential tool for the streamlined approach under the ProPECC PN 4/23. With invaluable comments collected in the survey conducted in last year, a revamped version of Web-NAT is going to be launched with improved functionality and enhanced user experience.

In this webinar, the latest procedure of the self-certification system under ProPECC PN 4/23 and the revamped version of Web-NAT will be introduced with a case demonstration. Practitioners who involved in the road traffic noise assessment for residential developments are encouraged to join this webinar. The detail of webinar is given below.
