Meyer Poon Memorial Award

The Meyer Poon Memorial Award was set up with an aim to promote the advancement of the knowledge and practice of acoustics, including all aspects of science and technology of sound, noise and vibration control, and hearing protection and in memory of the late Mr. Meyer Poon (a respected member who died of cancer in late 1993).  The competition is held yearly and open to all full-time or part-time students registered in recognized institutions in Hong Kong. The Meyer Poon Memorial Award is divided into two categories; namely Undergraduate (for Higher Diploma, Associate Degree, and Bachelor Degree) and Postgraduate (for MSc, MEng, MPhil, PhD).
